Wine Break: Kaefferkopf - Stories to Sip
In the heart of the village of Ammerschwihr, on the Alsace Wine Route, the Kuehn estate opens its doors for a unique wine experience. Welcomed by passionate hosts like Noémie, Sophie, or Nicolas, you will explore the local history, marked by the hardships of World War II which destroyed over 85% of the town. Now rebuilt, Ammerschwihr reveals its charms through picturesque streets and iconic vineyards.
Your visit begins with a guided walk through the village and vineyards, where your host will share anecdotes about the history and terroir. Then, head to the Caves de l’Enfer, located 7 meters underground, for a dive into the world of Alsace wines. Here, you will discover the Kaefferkopf, a Grand Cru with a unique character, the pride of the village, during a candlelit tasting that highlights its special qualities.
A rare opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of Alsace Grand Crus or wines from exceptional terroirs, all in a friendly and authentic atmosphere.
