Henri Sellier Estate

The Sellier estate, the first social housing complex built after World War II between 1953 and 1956, marks an important milestone in the history of collective housing. Comprising 240 apartments of types F2 and F4 spread across simple buildings, it is organized around 76 garages and large green spaces, offering a pleasant and airy living environment. The school group, inaugurated in 1959, completes this complex designed to meet the needs of families.

This project follows the legacy of Henri Sellier, a major figure in social housing and socialist mayor of Suresnes between the wars. Sellier influenced urban planning through his real estate projects integrating green spaces at the heart of the complexes, inspired by the garden city ideal, where the city blends harmoniously with nature.
