Maison Adam - House of Youth and Culture
The Maison Adam, also known as the "House of Youth and Culture," is a beautiful 18th-century building. It was bequeathed to the city in 1913 by the former mayor Adam. Today, this historic site houses the House of Youth and Culture (M.J.C.), which offers a wide variety of activities for all audiences. These include English classes, cardiofighting, visual arts and painting workshops (APPEL), budo takedaryu, a women's club, classical dance, Qi Gong, body reshaping, karate (goshinbudo jutsu), weight training and bodybuilding, as well as women's gymnastics, a music group, microcomputer courses, shooting, sailing, and yoga.
The M.J.C. also has a nautical base where many water sports are organized: canoeing, catamaran, dinghy sailing, kayaking, optimist sailing, and windsurfing. Underwater activities such as diving are also offered, along with sailing courses and training. The site also hosts day camps, sports outings (canoeing, mountain biking), member-only evenings, pétanque and beach volleyball games, as well as regattas. Available facilities include a bar, showers, changing rooms, toilets, outdoor installations, and suitable equipment.
