Villa des Sapins
The Villa des Sapins, also known as Villa Hoffmann or Bandeschlessel, is an iconic building from the late 19th century, built in 1896. Originally designed as a restaurant, the building later housed a youth center in the 1960s before becoming the headquarters of the General Family Association today. The villa's architecture reflects an eclectic style featuring decorative elements inspired by Antiquity and the Renaissance. The walls, made of sandstone ashlar and colored brick on the upper floor, are arranged in a square plan. The façade, adorned with an oriel window and balconies, stands out with stained glass windows bearing the coat of arms of the city of Strasbourg and heraldic shields topped with an eagle. The VJ monogram on the building adds a historical touch to this structure, which clearly stands out from the surrounding landscape.
